Parent Teacher Association

What is the PTA?
The Parent Teacher Association is a voluntary group made up of teachers and parents of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.
The PTA’s role in the school is to raise extra funds for the school to spend on your children and to contribute to bringing the school together in a social, friendly setting.

Last year PTA funds paid for new playground equipment for EYFS and new Astro turf.  We gave the children gifts to mark the Queens's birthday and we also provided refreshments for Sports Day.  We run cake sales throughout the year to raise funds for each class.  At Christmas time we organise Christmas cards designed by the children and we provide Christmas crackers, table cloths and chocolates to make the School’s Christmas lunch and Advent Service even more special.

The PTA also has an important role in organising and running social events. For example the school recently held an International Evening and we hold children’s school discos. A real highlight is our school Christmas Fair.

As you will appreciate all these events take some organising. The PTA needs not only your help but also new ideas to continue bringing new events and fundraisers to the school! We hope to see as many of you as possible at our regular meetings and events. You can also contact us by emailing us at: and we look forward to hearing from you.
